Chris McDonald

Co-Founder and Director of Research & Development

Chris McDonald has for the past four years devoted his biochemical analysis, synthesis and complex problem-solving skills to studying and developing the chemistry around creating various hemp-derived formulations and their effects.

Mr. McDonald’s ability in this regard started with the education and training he received as a healthcare specialist and combat medic through an elite Army program during Oct 2002 through Nov 2005. As part of being trained to perform battlefield triage, the program included not only learning about primary care medicine, but also how to improvise remedies utilizing natural and plant-based resources. He in turn also trained Army medics and Navy corpsmen seeking their combat lifesaver credential in advanced first aid.

After being honorably discharged, Mr. McDonald spent the next fourteen years as a manager of various diagnostic efforts involving the use of electroencephalograph and polysomnograph technologies for evaluating neurological disorders affecting emotional stability and sleep.

Following the passage of the 2018 Agricultural Improvement Act, which, after an 80 year hiatus, once again allowed farmers to grow hemp subject to its containing less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC by dry weight, Mr. McDonald turned his focus to exploring the potential for developing healthcare compounds derived from hemp constituents.
